Terms of service

1. Service overview

CandidIA is an online platform accessible at candidia.eu that lets users optimize their resume and cover letter for specific job postings using artificial intelligence, aggregate job openings from multiple sources, and track their applications.

The service is operated by CandidIA, reachable at candidia.heny@gmail.com.

2. Acceptance of the terms

Using the service implies full and complete acceptance of these terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the service. CandidIA reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be informed by email and/or on their next connection. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the changes.

3. Sign-up and user account

To access the service, the user must create an account by providing a valid email address. The user is responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activities carried out under their account.

CandidIA reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in case of violation of these terms, abusive use of the service or fraudulent activity.

4. Plans and billing

Free trial. A full trial is offered upon account creation, including a complete resume + cover letter optimization. No credit card is required for this trial.

Pro plan. €9.99/month incl. VAT, with unlimited access to optimizations, the application pipeline, the AI coach and job alerts.

Premium plan. €29.99/month incl. VAT, including every Pro feature plus LinkedIn optimization, AI interview prep and salary insights.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Billing is monthly and charged automatically on the subscription's anniversary date.

5. Cancellation and right of withdrawal

The user may cancel their subscription at any time from their account settings, with no notice and no fee. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Right of withdrawal. The 14-day right of withdrawal is governed by the Terms of Sale (article 6).

6. Acceptable use of the service

The user agrees to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information in their documents;
• Not use the service for fraudulent, illegal purposes or purposes contrary to public policy;
• Not attempt to circumvent the technical limitations of the service;
• Not reproduce, copy or resell all or part of the service;
• Not use the service to generate documents impersonating a third party.

CandidIA reserves the right to immediately suspend access for any user violating these rules, with no refund.

7. User responsibility

The user is solely responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness and completeness of the information they submit on the platform. CandidIA limits itself to rephrasing and optimizing the provided content without verifying its truthfulness.

Consequently, CandidIA cannot be held responsible for consequences arising from the submission of false, inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent information by the user, particularly with respect to recruiters or employers.

8. CandidIA's limitation of liability

CandidIA is a drafting assistance tool. The results displayed (ATS score, interview rate, etc.) are statistical averages observed across all users and do not constitute a guarantee of individual results.

CandidIA does not guarantee obtaining interviews or jobs. The platform cannot be held responsible for companies' hiring decisions.

In case of technical failure, CandidIA undertakes to restore the service as soon as possible and may, at its discretion, extend the affected subscription.

9. Intellectual property

The entire platform (code, design, texts, interfaces, algorithms) is the exclusive property of CandidIA and protected by intellectual property law. Any reproduction without express authorization is prohibited.

Documents generated (resumes, cover letters) by the service for the user belong to the user. CandidIA claims no rights to those documents.

10. Personal data protection

CandidIA processes your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU 2016/679). Details of our policy are available in our privacy policy.

Your data is hosted in the European Union (Supabase — Paris region), never resold to third parties, and fully deletable from your account. Your resumes are automatically deleted 90 days after the last optimization, in accordance with our retention policy.

11. Applicable law and competent jurisdiction

These terms are subject to French law. In case of dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent courts of Paris will be seized.

In accordance with articles L.616-1 and R.616-1 of the French Consumer Code, in case of unresolved dispute, you may use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
